Lodgings and Facilities

We offer rustic but comfortable African style tents and bungalows. Beds are fitted
with mosquito nets if you prefer to use them, and each unit has its own ablution
facilities. Soft linen will ease you off to sleep after a full day of safari activity, with
the background calls of nightjars, crickets and the occasional melancholy call of
a jackal as a subconscious reminder that you are truly in the romatic African wilds.
We provide you with delicious bush meals in camp and picnic meals or barbecues
on safari, and have bar service wherever you are on your trip.

For emergencies we have satelite telephone and also VHF radio cantact with
strategic services in Mozambique and also in South Africa. A small hospital is
available in Machanga about 90km from Main Camp. For mobile phones, E-Cell
and Vodacom have a communications tower at Inhassoro some 80km south of the
Reserve.

We have a variety of equipment that you can hire, including boats, deep sea fishing
gear, and rifles.
Malaria

Because of the sparse local population and the distance of Main Camp from the
closest human settlement, which could serve as a disease reservoir, malaria
normally does not pose any threat for visitors to RSGR. For those persons who
have special customized tours which include overnight sleep-outs closer to
rural settlements, we advice standard anti-malarial measures for which we can
provide advice, or which your nearest Travel Clinic should be able to advice.
